Sanjay Puri is a business leader, entrepreneur and advocate who has successfully built and exited information technology (IT) companies.
He is currently the founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of 1) Autonebula, a connected vehicle accelerator and investment fund that catalyzes the best and brightest startups for the advancement of mobility worldwide; 2) Wellisen, a break-through nutraceuticals and personal care company that is committed to ameliorating world hunger and redefining health and beauty for people of all ages everywhere; and 3) ACEL360, a multi-module accelerator that teaches small and medium sized businesses how to navigate federal processes, create pipelines of high-value prospects, and build and sustain competitive advantage with cross-functional, forward-looking strategies.
Puri is the Vice-Chairman of the Board of Advisors for the Connected Vehicle Trade Association (CVTA). He is a highly sought-after speaker and media contributor. He has presented at leading conferences and institutions including the China Telematics and Connected Vehicles Summit, the Connected Vehicle Trade Association, Wharton, Harvard, the National War College, and the Kellogg School of Management. He has been featured by Forbes, PBS, CNN, National Public Radio (NPR), The Washington Times, The New York Times, The Hindu, The Times of India, and other global outlets.
In 2002, Puri established the United States India Political Action Committee (USINPAC), a non-profit, bipartisan organization to bring about outcomes that matter to India and Indian Americans. In 2005, he founded the Alliance for U.S. India Business (AUSIB) to further economic ties between the two nations. He has organized over 25 business delegations to and from India, and has hosted numerous conferences and roundtable discussions in close cooperation with the U.S. Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives. He has testified before the U.S. House Committee on Foreign Affairs as an expert witness on U.S.-India relations and played a key role in the passage of the U.S.- India Civil Nuclear agreement. He has welcomed PM Manmohan Singh, Minister of Finance Arun Jaitley, BJP President Amit Shah and other Indian notables to Washington. He successfully lobbied the U.S. Congress to withdraw negative resolutions against current Prime Minister Narendra Modi and was instrumental in PM Modi receiving an invitation to speak before a Joint Meeting of Congress. Puri has been involved in Presidential, Senatorial and Congressional races, and has fought to put Indian Americans on the courts and in the Administration. He has been recognized in the U.S. Congressional Record for his advocacy and achievements.
Puri began his entrepreneurial journey in 1994 through a grant from NIH where he led a team that used artificial intelligence techniques to diagnose patients with Alzheimer’s. His clients have included the U.S. Mint, Library of Congress, Federal Reserve Bank, National Labor Relations Board, and the National Institute of Health (NIH), among others. Puri holds an MBA in Finance & Investments from George Washington University.
